Delilah Hampton, PMHNP
Delilah Hampton is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She Joined the Hauser Clinic in 2019 after eight years of Private practice in The Heights area, and five years of working at a community health clinic. She has worked in the field of nursing for 23 years. She graduated from Houston Baptist University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and obtained her master’s degree in 2007 from the University of Texas. Delilah graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society of nursing. During her career she has worked in various fields including schizophrenia research and has published several journal articles. She has worked as a clinical instructor for the University of Texas Nursing School and has won several awards for clinical precepting of students. She works with adult patients. She has experience as a specialist in managing the care of patients who have a dual diagnosis of a developmental disorder along with a mental health disorder. She has a special interest in anxiety and mood disorders as well as managing patients throughout pregnancy. She also has an interest in high functioning autism formerly known as Asperger’s Disorder as well as working with LGBT patients. She is trained in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. She was an active and founding member of the Houston Area Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Organization.
